What is white glove Delivery?
Since TV's are continually getting larger, many of our shipments are too large to ship via standard shipping carriers such as UPS or FedEx. These deliveries would normally be packaged on a pallet in a wooden crate as shown here and are often in excess of 100 pounds and can only be moved by pallet. Deliveries of freight shipments are delivered by large semi trucks and therefore cannot be maneuvered through residential neighborhoods and down driveways like a typical delivery truck. As a result, freight deliveries are only able to deliver to the curb at the end of your driveway.
For some of our clients such as those in metropolitan areas where a doorman at a high rise apartment cannot accept the delivery, this method just is not an option and white glove becomes essential.
White Glove FAQs:
How much does it cost?The cost is based on a variety of factors. (ie: how many flights of stairs, does the shipment need to be unpacked, debris removal, etc). Upon receipt of your white glove quote request, we will provide a quote within 1-2 business days. It's common for this service to cost $250-$500 in additional to the regular shipping rates.
Will my delivery date be affected?Delivery dates shouldn't be impacted by more than 1 business day as long as the quote request is submitted to us and approved before the shipment departs our facility. Once this service is requested, the local delivery crew will pickup your shipment from the freight carrier and will contact you to arrange a delivery time.
Will they install my merchandise onto my TV?No, white glove delivery crews are much like installers from local furniture stores. The most they can do is provide assistance with unpacking. They are not certified installers. If you have questions regarding installation, please call us at 888.TV.FRAME
What services are available for my area?
White glove delivery service availability is limited and may not be available in your area or for all product categories. In some cases when the service is available only some of the services requested may be available, but of course we will let you know what services are available at the time we provide the white glove quote. Example: They may offer inside delivery ... but not unpacking and debris removal.
IMPORTANT: In the unlikely event that there are signs of obvious damage at the time of delivery, it's important to either indicate the damage in writing at the time of delivery or refuse the shipment entirely. If you are unsure what to do, please call us immediately and notify the representative it's an urgent call. If the shipment is seriously damaged just refuse the shipment.
Common Packaging Methods:
NOTE: To more easily move the package indoors or onto a cart you can simply cut the black straps or remove the screws from the ends of the A frame to separate the shipment to individual boxes.
